Meet the MAGNUS Sawhorse, designed to be the titan of your workshop. First of all, let’s talk about capacities! Because all ratings are not the same!!!

Strength Comparisons

Here’s a pair of our stands with over 3,000 pounds of concrete resting comfortably on them. ZERO concerns!!!

Now, let’s look at a couple of commercially available sawhorses like you’d find at a hardware store. First, here’s the DEWALT / Stanley “Adjustable Metal Legs Sawhorse” (at Amazon, and Home Depot). They actually claim: “High quality combination of metal and plastic for load capacity on pair of up to 2500 lbs”. They also claim it’s adjustable…. who knows why? But the big question is, if you placed a literal TON of weight on a pair of these cheap stands – would you take a nap under them???

By contrast, DeWALT offers a MUCH heavier duty sawhorse (on Amazon) that is all steel – which they only rate at 1,100 pounds! How in the world is it possible that a plastic sawhorse for 1/2 the price has more capacity than the all steel version for double the price???

This is the difference between 100% tubular steel that is welded together, as opposed to some cheap plastic combined with think gauge sheet metal.

From an engineering perspective, the difference in designs is startling. Not only does MAGNUS utilize much stronger materials, but it also incorporates a boxed design with fully welded upper and lower cross bracing to ensure that under load the legs can’t buckle to the sides – as well as fully welded bracing on each pair of legs.

Bottom line is, there is NO COMPARISON between anything that can be purchased commercially, and our kit. When properly built, it is even appropriate for professional fabrication environments.

REMEMBER: The welds are critical to weight bearing capacity! So only undertake this project if you’re confident in your welding abilities, and test thoroughly before relying on your stands.

Available Sizes

Available in three sizes, 24″, 36″, and 48″ wide. This innovative sawhorse is crafted from laser-cut steel tubing, complete with tabs, slots, and pre-drilled holes for bolt-on accessories – PLUS an adjustable height platform.

The top of the sawhorse spans 8″ times the chosen width and features 16mm tooling holes laser-cut every 2″ on center, ensuring you have all the mounting options you need for clamps and other essential tools. This is the same hole pattern found in our entire line of DIY Welding tables and all related accessories. So the same clamps and fixtures that work on the table tops will fit in the sawhorses.

The MAGNUS Sawhorse offers an adjustable platform height ranging from 27″ to 42″ in 1 inch increments, and is rated to handle up to 2,000 lbs with a significant safety factor.

Given that every seam and weld must be executed flawlessly, this project requires intermediate to advanced welding skills. With its unique design and unmatched functionality, the MAGNUS Sawhorse stands apart as a one-of-a-kind addition to your workshop – there’s nothing like it available commercially.
