DIY Industrial Bed Frame – LETTO

Meet the LETTO bedframe: our founder’s original design that he personally uses every night. Built around a 3″ tubular steel frame, it’s made to be both stylish and sturdy. By the way, when we say sturdy, we mean you could put 2,000 pounds on this bedframe and it wouldn’t even budge! That might seem like overkill, but the main benefit of such a hefty frame is the lack of movement. There’s nothing worse than a wimpy bed that wobbles around…

The headboard and footboard each feature upright pillars with horizontal cross braces, creating a cool architectural feel. An open panel in the footboard lets you insert wood, metal, or any other material you like—perfect for adding your own artistic flare. Up top, the headboard includes a matching floating panel above the mattress line.

Support comes from 1.5″ laser-cut steel tubes set into recessed slots, ensuring your mattress (no box spring needed) sits securely without any wobble. When it’s time to move, the bedframe easily disassembles so you can pack up the headboard, footboard, and side supports without a hassle. For an extra touch, you can also bolt on floating side stands to each side of the headboard—great for a unique bedside setup.

Because this is our founder’s personal bed, it’s definitely built to last. From crisp lines to customizable accent panels, the LETTO bedframe is as practical as it is striking, giving you a chance to express yourself with a piece of furniture you can use every day, and pass on for many generations to come!

Additional Notes

• The LETTO bedframe floating nightstands will be available on the site soon after a few minor tweaks, and they really make this bed stand out. They attach to the uprights of the headboard, include a drawer and an under-drawer open space, and are also incredibly sturdy.
• Unlike wimpy bedframes, the entire span under the LETTO frame is open, with no additional center supports or anything impeding under-bed storage. Additionally, the bed frame’s extra height makes for a cavernous amount of space under the bed. For example, here are the dimensions for the Twin size bed.
