My 40 x 60 DIY Table Build

So here goes... Hi, my name is Donald and I am an addict... to all things DIY, since half the things (or more) you can buy these days aren't worth half the price you pay. I'm sure I end up paying more sometimes because I tend to add to and over do everything. After John and Erica answered my 101 questions (super promptly I might add), gave me suggestions, tips/pointers, I ordered my TMW 40" x 60" DIY table and some other goodies to go along with it. I will try to document the steps I take for my build and my thought process. I would like to add, I've never had customer service like I have had with Texas Metal Works. This crew rocks! My table and goodies arrived 04 December (ordered 24 November). TMW was in constant communication every step of the way. The freight company was just as much in communication with me as soon as they received my order… I received notices of when they picked up my table top, when it left Texas, when it arrived in Alabama and then a call to schedule my delivery. On the day of my delivery, the driver came to my front door, let me know he was here with my crate and offered to roll my table/pallet somewhere, but I was like "nope, I'm sure you don't want to roll it with your pallet jack down my 500' driveway to my shop/barn. I'll go get my tractor". I already had my forks on it awaiting my new table delivery. I knew it was close because I watched the freighters website showing status of my delivery like an anxious first time dad waiting for his newborn to be delivered. I did a quick inspection of the pallet, cut the plastic wrap (nice job on the packaging BTW), took a couple of pictures (no visible damage), signed the paperwork, forked the pallet and hauled it down to the barn where it now patiently calls me to git to it! Unfortunately, actual work still had to be done in my office, so it will have to be patient until I have free time to "go play in the barn".

Everyone: "Hi Donald." We're going to be starting a Fabricators Anonymous group soon... Anyway, glad things have gone smooth so far. Can't wait to see how your build comes along! :-)

Hahaha! Yes, I would definitely need to take a few steps... I'll be the first to admit "I have a problem" but I'd probably be one that recognizes the problem and doesn't really want to remedy it. =)

I appreciate that coming from you, John. I absolutely loved building my table and can’t wait to put it to use! I’ve probably got about 150 pics and videos of the build process and will at some point do a better job of compiling them and maybe do a voice over video of what was going through my head during the build. It went together like butter. Every rib and side slipped into the top like they were meant to be together. Many people make a tab and slot style DIY table but none are on par with TMW’s. The method of the included nut and bolts that tie all together so you can weld it out rocked! I was 100% sold on your tables because of this and the fact that you were using 1/4” A572-50 plate as the standard instead of 3/16” A36. Love love love my table!
